In this lab, we help each child ignite the ” inner strength of creativity” specifically for the purpose of leveraging reading and writing skills.
Using an education approved learning resource and strength factory tools, we cover 5 strengths in 5 zones:
- Reading strengths – Zone 1
- Imaginative strengths – Zone 2
- Flowcharting and storyboard strengths – Zone 3
- Writing strengths – Zone 4
- creative dialogue and discussion strengths – Zone 5
Participants will also be introduced to the art of capturing stories through the eyes of being a reader, reading and retelling stories, how to recognise and use strong verbs, and more
At the end of this programme, the child will have “improved strengths” in the area of reading, imaginative and creative writing.
This workshop will particularly help reluctant young readers and writers whilst strengthening the interests of able writers and readers. We train in labs of 12 to 15 participants so as to give each child individual attention.
VALUES WORKSHOP
Values Zone: In our values Zone, we focus on character formation. We explore what values are and why values are important. We identify positive and negative values, leadership values, and personal values
using biblical, personal stories case studies. Participants evaluate themselves against 8 values for successful living:
- Initiative,
- integrity,
- punctuality,
- cooperation,(teamwork)
- Taking instructions,
- hard work,
- positivity,
- Dare to dream.
We use the head, heart, and spirit-led cards to understand, develop and work on these values.
